The game uses a board with six symbols: Bầu (gourd), Cua (crab), Tôm (shrimp), Cá (fish), Gà (chicken), Nai (deer) and three dice showing the same symbols. Players place their bets on one or more symbols they think will appear, then a dealer shakes and reveals all three dice at the same time. If a symbol you bet on appears on the dice, you win an amount equal to your bet for each time it appears (once, twice, or three times), and you also keep your original bet; if it does not appear, you lose that bet.
